2/12/12 Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's Super Sunday

Today we got to participate in Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's Super Sunday. I've heard a lot about this event in previous years, but never had the opportunity to participate. First we went through training and had the chance to meet a fellow Fellow, Joel Prushan class of '11, then finally took to the floor and got to make phone calls. It was so much fun because we made a competition out of this volunteer work to see who could raise the most money. I loved calling people and asking them to pledge money to the Federation, because they are helping people like me! Even though I didn't win the competition (I'm not bitter...wink, wink) it was awesome knowing that I made a difference, and that my Jewish community now has $5,000 more than it did before because of us. I love hanging out with the Fellows, and am looking forward to the next event.
